HIMELON™ is nonwovens that comply with the RoHS Directive and the VOC restrictions of major automobile manufacturers.
It does not intentionally use halogen compounds, formaldehyde, etc. and it conforms to the low-VOC environmental restrictions. Additionally, it has excellent functionality and exhibits its properties in every field.
Application
HIMELON™ is used in a wide range of fields. Especially in the field of audio devices, home appliance, automobile and office automation equipment, it is used much for various cushioning materials, dust-proofing and light-shielding.

New product, Soft HIMELON SH series (chemical-bonded nonwoven)
The Soft HIMELON SH series was developed as an improved version of our existing chemical-bonded nonwovens.
It has softer texture than our existing products and this has significantly improved the following capability to a curved surface. As with our existing products, the soft HIMELON SH series has superior wear resistance, hardly causes fluff and is excellent in processability.
It also complies with the RoHS Directive and other strict environmental regulations, and therefore it can be used safely in a wide range of fields.
There are a general type and a flame-resistant type which conforms to FMVSS 302.

Conform to FMVSS 302.
The flame-resistant HIMELON ULA-E4 series conforms to V-0, a very high level of flame retardancy under UL-94, the UL flame-resistant standard, and complies with the RoHS Directive.
Therefore, it can be used also in the industrial material field where environmental regulations are strict.

HIMELON SN series (needle-punched nonwoven)
The HIMELON SN series has a wider variation of thickness than the HN-E series (chemical-bonded nonwoven) to meet customer requests for a thicker product lineup.
Similar to the HN-E series, the SN series is stable in quality and complies with the RoHS Directive and other strict environmental regulations. Therefore, it can be used safely in a wide range of fields.

HIMELON SP series (pressed felt)
Conform to FMVSS 302.
The HIMELON SP series, which conforms to FMVSS 302, is stable in quality and complies with the RoHS Directive and other strict environmental regulations as with the SN series. Moreover, the main raw material of the SP series products is natural fiber wool and the SP series is eco-friendly products with excellent biodegradability.
The SP10WW is dyed (white); SP20W and SP30W are undyed (unbleached); SP10B-50B are dyed (black).

HIMELON flame-resistant SN series (needle-punched felt)
Conform to FMVSS 302
The HIMELON flame-resistant SN series is a needle-punched nonwovens which is made from 100% polyester, and conforms to FMVSS302.
It has the same variation of thickness as the HIMELON SN series.
It also complies with the RoHS Directive and other strict environmental regulations, and therefore it can be used safely in a wide range of fields.
